To all the new faces around here lately… let me take a bit of your time to share about myself. My name is Stacey Couch and I am a Spiritual Advisor.
What is a Spiritual Advisor?
A Spiritual Advisor talks with people about their spiritual lives. Her job is to witness and validate a person’s spiritual exploration. In addition, a Spiritual Advisor offers empathy, guidance and resources tailored to a person’s unique spiritual path. A Spiritual Advisor can be affiliated with one, many or no particular faith.
People come to a Spiritual Advisor for guidance with:
Feelings of being lost and not knowing what to do next
Interpreting what your unique spiritual path looks like
Developing a deeper connection with your authentic self, nature, and the divine
Receiving support in your role as a caregiver for others
Creating personal rituals and ceremonies
A few of the topics that a Spiritual Advisor discusses with clients are:
Grief, loss, and despair
Intuition and messages from spirit guides
Family, co-worker and friend struggles
Health and healing challenges
And countless more topics...
Meeting with the Outsiders
My speciality is working with people that don’t fit into the box of a religion. They are known as spiritual independents and inter-spiritual people. They often feel like outsiders on the spiritual path. I offer companionship in what can be a lonely place on the edges.
Someone who is spiritual but not religious is a SPIRITUAL INDEPENDENT. They don’t attend religious services and are often experiencing a faith deconstruction. This involves questioning and dismantling the beliefs of a religion they were raised in and/or recently left. 28% of Americans currently identify as spiritually unaffiliated. This number has been rising for a number of years.
An INTER-SPIRITUAL person is someone who draws from many different faiths and spiritual paths. An inter-spiritual person may participate in multiple spiritual practices of differing beliefs. For example, an inter-spiritual person may practice Buddhist meditation, read texts from Christian mystics, and take inspiration from Sufi poetry. They may or may not belong to a religious community or attend worship services.
Spiritual Jane-of-All-Trades
I’ve chosen the title “Spiritual Advisor” because it provides an umbrella for the wide breadth of knowledge my practice covers. The term “advisor” reflects the expertise I have in this field and the wisdom I have to share. I’ve guided others on the spiritual path for over 15 years, and am a naturally spiritually curious person.
I’m not here to tell anyone what to do or believe. My priority is in fostering a direct connection with the divine for clients and making sure that their sense of agency is bolstered throughout the process. The goal is for each client to feel more connected to their source of spiritual guidance and to be supported in their exploration and learning.
When I share ideas or recommendations, they are made as offerings. It is up to each client to discern what resonates with them.
Topics I’m well versed in include: spirit animals, tarot, interpretation of signs, shamanism, archetypes, astrology, dream interpretation, alchemy, and mythology and folklore.
Different faith traditions I’ve studied and practiced in over the years include: Shamanism, Buddhism, Paganism, Christianity, Sufism, Taoism, and Hinduism.

Shamanic Ancestral Healing 4-Month Program
Connecting with the ancestors is a foundational practice in shamanism for healing, and also for support in all other ceremonial and spiritual work we do. The ancestors inform and guide our path. Relating with them is deeply comforting and soulful work. In this enlightening 4-month program, Shamanic Teacher and Spiritual Advisor, Stacey Couch facilitates five students on a journey into discovery of our personal ancestors. Through these journeys we experience the unique ways that healing takes place by collaborating and co-creating with our ancestors.
