In this first week, we explore the definition of intuition and experience a new understanding. Connecting with our intuition is easier when we know what we are looking for.

What is Intuition?

  • A warning, telling us which way to go and what to do

  • Guidance from our soul about a decision we need to make

  • A message from the Divine about how we can heal

  • Inspiration to create or do something new

  • A sense of peace, a mystical experience

3 Ingredients of Intuition

Intuition is a spontaneous knowing that has life to it. The way we know that intuition is happening is through the following three primary indicators. If these ingredients are present, we are able to tell that we are working with intuition rather than a construct of the mind or something else.

1. SPONTANEITY

Intuition is spontaneous. The answer comes in an instant. It dawns on us all of a sudden as an “a-ha” or “light bulb” moment. It is not an answer we’ve pieced together with our minds over time, but one that reveals itself in a flash of inspiration. However, the intuitive answer doesn’t always come the moment after we ask a question. Intuition can come seconds, days, weeks, or even years after we ask a question. The hallmark is that it arises seemingly out of nowhere and by surprise.
