So much about the ancestors is buried and there is amazing treasure to unearth.
Autumn is the time of year when the veil is thinnest and we’re called to honor our ancestors. Think of the holidays of Dia de los Muertos and Samhain. In Hinduism there is Pitru Paksha and in Paganism the Fall Equinox.
The senescence of plants and loss of vibrant summer landscapes reminds us of the ephemeral nature of life. When we truly tune in, the chill in the air and oncoming winter give us a quiet tap on the shoulder. Death is never too far away.
What have we come to do in this lifetime? Do we have enough time to make it happen? What legacy are we leaving behind?
We want to leave the planet better than we found it. We innately know that we need to clear generational karma so we are freer to make a positive impact. In our hearts resides a deep desire to liberate those that come after us, so they don’t have to struggle as much as the generations before.

Connecting with the ancestors is a foundational practice in shamanism for healing, and also for support in all other ceremonial and spiritual work we do. The ancestors inform and guide our path. Relating with them is deeply comforting and soulful work. In this enlightening 5-month program, Shamanic Teacher and Spiritual Advisor, Stacey Couch facilitates five students through a journey of discovery of our personal ancestors. Through these journeys we experience the unique ways that healing takes place by collaborating and co-creating with our ancestors.
